I’ve just crossed my final border from Germany into Poland. In a few more days, I will reach my final destination, Krakow.
One of my biggest supporters is my son, Andreas. He was diagnosed dyspraxia at 18 months, a condition that affects his mental skills, speech and motor skills. He has a big heart and is especially caring so it is easy to draw my inspiration from him.
Andreas, just a few days old
I decided that it was time to make a difference for my son’s disability and prove that my disability doesn’t define who I am. I am riding my bike across Europe to raise a few dollars and awareness about dyspraxia. In October 2017, I moved from Perth to London to make this happen.
I have been training hard riding 150 miles a week while working full time in London. On August 8, 2018 I set off from London to ride through the Netherlands, Germany and finally end my trip Krakow, Poland. You can follow my journey here.
Day 1: Leaving London
My goal is to raise $10,000 to support Dyspraxia Kids Australia and help more kids like Andreas. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Oh, and to prove that having a disability doesn’t stop you from getting the most out of life.
